We train for performance not just appearance. Our programming is innovative and validated with 100’s of professional athletes. Our programs are designed within a level appropriate system for young and aging. Coaches and trainers world-wide study TWIST so you get trained directly from the industry leader. Workouts are always fresh as TWIST creates new exercises. You train in an exclusive private training centre – there are no general memberships. Our facility is designed to motivate and inspire.

Adult Conditioning Programs

I have not trained at TWIST before - what is my first step to joining a program?

We book you into an “Intro to Sport session”. This is a one hour 1-on-1 training session with one of our coaches. During this session you will learn all of the major sport conditioning movement mechanics and postures so you will be able to jump into your group class with more knowledge and confidence.

How many people are there in a class?

The maximum number of registrants in any of our group classes is 16. All classes that have more than 8 participants will have two Sport Conditioning Coaches. The maximum coach to athlete ratio is 1to 8 to allow for plenty of technical coaching and individualization.

If I miss my class, can I make it up?

Yes, there is a dedicated “Make Up” class that you can register for.

 

Youth Conditioning Programs

What ages do you coach in the Youth Programs?

We run programs for young athletes from the ages of 8-20 years old – from the beginner to elite level. Our Kids Sport program is specially designed for ages 8-11.

1-on-1 Training

What are the benefits of private training?

How do I start 1-on-1 training with a coach?

Your own personal TWIST Coach begins with a complete Functional Assessment, measuring your current movement mechanics, posture, balance, agility, linked system strength, core strength and overall conditioning. From the results of your personal assessment, your coach develops a unique strength and conditioning game plan based on your current fitness level & goals.

 

Team Training

What is included in your team training programs?

Teams have the option of training in the SCC either once or twice per week. Each session is one hour and 15 minutes and will have two Twist Sport Conditioning Coaches to allow for plenty of individualized coaching and customized program design. Before you begin your team program your head coach or manager will meet with our Twist Sport Conditioning Coach to devise a periodized plan that meets the team goals. Your team will train at the Twist Sport Conditioning Centre and focus on building sport-specifiic strength, speed, agility, quickness, power, conditioning, core strength, flexibility and more. You will also receive a team pre-game warm-up an additional take-home team workout.

Can our team do testing?

Yes, your Sport Conditioning Coach will sit down with the team coach and decide on which areas they would like to test. We would re-place one of your workouts with a testing session.

 

Hockey Camps

When should I register for your summer Hockey Camps?

Registration for our Summer Hockey Camps begin on January 15th each year. We recommend registering early as most programs sell out very quickly.

I can only make six out of the 8 weeks, should I still sign up for the Elite 8 Week Program or just sign up for the weekly camps?

You are much better off registering for the Elite 8 Week Camp as it is the same price as 6 weeks and you will receive all the extras involved in the Elite 8 Week Camp including; pre and post testing, massage therapy, nutrition, mental training, boxing, kayaking, hiking, and much more.

If I register for the Elite 8 Week High Peformance Camp early do I have to pay for the whole amount right away.

No, you will need to put down a 50% non-refundable deposit and pay the remaining balance 30 days prior to the start of the program.

What level of hockey player do you except into your camp?

Our Summer Hockey Camps are for Elite players only. If you are in minor hockey you must have played AAA in order to register for the Elite 8 Week Camp or any oniIce camps. If you did not play AAA you still can register for any of our dryland programs.
