Jeff RouxB.P.E.; CSCS; TSCC-GoldCombine 360 Master TrainerJeff is a co-owner, COO and Director of Sport Conditioning for the Twist Sport Conditioning Centre. He has worked with Twist in various capacities since the Spring of 2001 including coaching at the High Performance Hockey camps in North Vancouver and working with the education department as a presenter and primary writer for the Twist Sport Conditioning Certification courses and now as a a Combine 360 Master Trainer. Jeff's background boasts a wide range of experience coaching everyone from professional and elite level athletes to young athletes and weekend warriors. Jeff spends his down time with his family, on one of his bikes, trail running in the Durham Forest or playing volleyball. JRs focus Focus for 2012; "Eat clean, train smart and play hard! Heather Pereira:B.PhysED CSCS, TSCC-Gold, Stott Pilates, Schwinn, Certified Yoga Teacher & Ontario Master Coach for Trigger Point Performance Therapy
Let`s face it, Heather can do it all. She is the Marketing and Service Manager at the Twist Sport Conditioning Centre in Whitby as well as a senior Twist conditioning coach and smiling face that greets our athletes, parents and coaches at the Centre and on the phone. She has coached a variety of athletes from hockey to soccer to skateboarding and baseball and everything in between. Her true expertise is working with our active adult athletes. Heather is also the coach and founder of a local non-profit running group called the Running Maniacs. The group has progressed into a bike club, the Maniac Road Riders who train for Duathlons and Triathlons. She also oversees the Product Operations and distribution at Twist. In her spare time, you can find Heather running, biking, or swimming. Heather is cranking up the risk factor of her events for this year adding ice track car racing and obstacle races Warrior Dash and Tough Mudder to her event calender as well. |

Jesse Cook:BKin, CAT, TSCC Gold, Combine 360 Trainer, ViPR Master Trainer
Jesse is a senior Twist Conditioning coach and head on-ice instructor for the Twist High Performance Hockey Program. He has quickly become a renowned Hockey Conditioning Specialist in the Durham region and an integral part of the Twist Whitby team. Jesse works with athletes from all levels from a variety of sports from Sailing to Major League Baseball but his main passion and expertise is hockey. Since completing his own Junior career playing in the OPJHL, and at York University, Jesse continues to play at the Senior Men`s level with the Orillia Tundras as they battle the Whitby Dunlops and others for the Allan Cup. Jesse remains dedicated to owning ViPR drills, maximizing his flow, digging country tunes, and helping all athletes get better everyday. Goal for 2012, learn how to Dougie. |

Adam Balan:BSc. (Honours), BEd, TSCC Gold, ViPR Master Trainer
Coach Balan(ce) is an extremely dedicated conditioning coach who blends his professional athletic perspective with his passion for coaching , creating an addictive, high-energy coaching style that harnesses the best efforts his athletes have to offer. His passion and athletic background is based in baseball but he is a born teacher having completed his Bachelor of Education he also teaches Anatomy and Physiology at Durham College in Oshawa. Adam did his undergrad while attending California University of Pennsylvania on a baseball scholarship. He received NCAA Academic All-American honours his junior year in baseball and pursued an international baseball career, playing professionally in Australia, Sweden and Western Canada. Aside from teaching Twist athletes about Desire and joint integrity, Adam also works as a baseball instructor, teaching the mechanics and mental aspects of hitting to Aspiring Durham area ballplayers. |

Kristin Smart: BKin, Masters of Teaching, TSCC Gold, Combine 360 Trianer, ViPR Master Trianer
"Stin" has been working as a Twist coach since 2009 and has used her knowledge and experience to coach athletes from 8 year old future stars to established elite players. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Specialization degree in Kinesiology and recently completed her Master of Teaching at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (U of T). Growing up playing competitive hockey and soccer, Kristin made the switch to lacrosse after moving to Whitby. After completing 3 years on the women’s varsity lacrosse team at UWO, she finished her CIS career competing with U of T. Kristin comes to Twist with experience as a Kinesiologist, and is enjoying the opportunity to combine her love of teaching and coaching with athletics. |

Kevin Chapman:Fitness and Health Promotion, TSCC Bronze, NCCP, HKY Canada L1
Kevin is a passionate hockey coach who brings this passion and enthusiasm to his role as a conditioning coach with him to Twist. Kevin brings unique elements to the Twist team as a Blue belt in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu and coach in the GTHL. He has become an integral part of our hockey conditioning team both on and off of the ice during the season and through our Spring and Summer High Performance Hockey Camps. Kevin understands the game of hockey and helps encourage athlete's to "figure out" their own level of effort and dedication to get where they want to go in hockey and in life. |
